Privacy Policy How we handle your data

Your privacy at THT

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This policy explains how Tame Hex Technologies Limited ("THT", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit trytht.com, contact us, book a call, use our client portal, or when we connect a Google account to HQ, the business system we run on and provide to our clients.

THT is the controller of the personal information described here. Our registered address is 2/3 Taylor Drive, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. You can reach us at any time at hello@trytht.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Enquiries. When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, and, if you choose to give them, your company, phone number, the service you are interested in and your message.
  • Bookings. When you book a call we collect your name, email address, the time you chose and anything you tell us about the call.
  • Client accounts. If you are a client or a client's contact, we hold your name, email address, role and the records of our work together: proposals, agreements, signatures, invoices, payments, files and messages.
  • Forms. When you answer a form we share with you, we collect the answers you submit and your consent to send them.

Information collected automatically

  • Where you came from. If you arrive through a link carrying campaign tags (such as utm_source), we keep those tags in your browser tab's session storage for the length of your visit and attach them to any enquiry you send. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Security checks. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. It processes technical signals such as your IP address and browser details.
  • Server logs. Our hosting providers record basic request data (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) to keep the service secure and working.
  • Sign in cookies. If you sign in to our portal or staff tools, we set a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is essential and is not used for tracking.

Google user data

HQ can connect to a Google account so that our booking page shows times when we are actually free and booked calls appear on our calendar. When the account owner chooses to connect Google, HQ asks for these permissions:

  • See free and busy times (calendar.freebusy). HQ reads only whether a time is busy, never the details of the events, so the booking page offers open slots.
  • Create and manage events (calendar.events). HQ adds a call to the calendar when someone books it, with a Google Meet link, and updates or removes that event when the call is rescheduled or cancelled.

How we handle that data:

  • We use it only to show availability and to create, update and cancel the events booked through HQ.
  • We store the access and refresh tokens Google gives us, encrypted, in HQ's database, together with the IDs of the events HQ created. We do not copy or keep the contents of other calendar events.
  • We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to build profiles.
  • We do not share it with anyone, except as needed to provide the features above, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or sale of the business with the same protections in place.
  • No person at THT reads it, unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security or to investigate abuse, or the law requires it.
  • We do not use it to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

THT's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect Google at any time in HQ under Settings, Integrations, or from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When a connection is removed we delete its stored tokens straight away.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and talk with you about the work you need.
  • To schedule, confirm, remind you of, reschedule and hold calls.
  • To deliver our services: proposals, agreements, projects, invoices, payments and support.
  • To give you access to the client portal and the documents and channels we share with you.
  • To keep our services secure and to prevent spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent, on the steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you, on our legitimate interest in running and protecting our business, and on legal obligations, as applies to each use.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare for hosting the website, bot checks and encrypted backups.
  • Railway for hosting HQ, its database and files.
  • Resend for sending and receiving email.
  • Google for calendar and video calls, when connected.
  • Discord, if we set up a private client channel with you.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a buyer of our business who agrees to protect it in the same way.

International transfers

We are based in Nigeria and our providers may process data in other countries, including in the European Union and the United States. Where that happens we rely on the providers' contractual and security commitments to keep your information protected.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and booking details: up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
  • Client records: for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Google tokens: until the connection is removed.
  • Encrypted backups: database backups expire after 90 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, to object to or limit how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@trytht.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or your local data protection authority.

Security

We protect information with encryption in transit and at rest, access limited to the people who need it, and regular encrypted backups. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach that affects you we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. We will post the new version here with a new date, and tell clients directly about any significant change.
